The inaugural Caldwell County Football Kickoff Dinner drew almost a full house to the CCHS cafeteria Saturday night.
The event featured three speakers.
Jill Giordano, a daughter of legendary former Tiger head coach, the late Al Giordano, spoke first. Former Tiger Craig Clayton, a former head coach at Hopkinsville and son of another legendary Caldwell head coach, the late Fred Clayton, was up next. Former head coach Pat Gates, who guided Caldwell to the Class 2A state championship in 1998, finished up the evening’s speakers.
An auction was held afterward including several Tennessee Titans items and footballs signed by the Tiger team.
A meal was served prior to the speakers with members of the Tiger football team serving as waiters.
The event was a fundraiser for Caldwell County football.
