Hoptown Tigers Finish 10th at Calloway Invitational

The Hopkinsville Tigers cross country team was on the road Saturday to take part in the Calloway County Invitational. The Tigers would end their day with a top 10 finish and saw three of their runners finish in the top half of the field.

Tyson Cavinder had the best time of the day for Hopkinsville, finishing the race in a time of 20:50.1. That time was good enough for 32nd place in the boys’ race.

Daniel Puckett, of Calloway County, was first, while Austin Cavanaugh of Trigg County took second place.

In the team competition, the Tigers had 230 points, giving them 10th place in the boys’ meet. Marshall County took first place, while Dawson Springs was second.

Individual results for the Tigers were:

Tyson Cavinder – 32nd place
Kentrell Adams – 43rd place
Savior Schall – 49th place
Jerel Lee – 86th place
Victor Hatcher – 97th place
Camden Dennis – 98th place
