Trio of Top 20 Finishes Lead Hoptown Lady Tigers at Calloway Invitational

Keyed by three top 20 efforts, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers cross country team very nearly won the Calloway County Invitational Saturday. The Lady Tigers would end up finishing just two points behind the first-place Fort Campbell Lady Falcons and took second place in the event.

Rebecca Wood was the top finisher for Hopkinsville. Wood ended up with a time of 24:03.1. That put Wood in 15th place in the race. Lauren Mayes was right behind Wood in 16th place with a time of 24:19.6. Kaydon Coats took 18th place with a time of 24:23.3.

Gabby Ault, of St. Mary, took 1st place, with a time of 20:28.1. Reese Settle, of Calloway County, finished in second.

In the team competition, Fort Campbell took first place with 52 points. Hopkinsville finished in second with 54 points.
