Caldwell County junior Timothy Nichols seemingly always has an athletic event in which to compete.

Nichols splits his time during the fall with the Tiger football and soccer squads.

Nichols kicks and holds for kicks for the football team. On Friday against Hopkinsville, he took over punting duties as well.

In soccer, Nichols is a defender, where he plays in front of his twin brother Corbin Nichols, who is the goalkeeper. They helped the Tigers reach the 2nd Region championship game for the first time in school history last year.

Timothy Nichols wrestles during the winter. He has qualified for the last two state tournaments, capturing a medal with a fourth-place finish in his weight class as a freshman.

Nichols heads to the Caldwell track team in the spring. This past season, he was part of the Tiger 4×800-meter relay team and distance medley relay team, which both set school records.

Hear more from Nichols in this YSE interview. He is this week’s Parker Eye Care Spotlight Athlete.
