The Todd County Central Lady Rebels will head into this weekend’s All A Classic state volleyball tournament riding a three-match winning streak. The Lady Rebels tuned up for the state tournament by picking up a road sweep at Franklin-Simpson Tuesday night.

The Lady Rebels controlled the match from beginning to end, being challenged briefly in the middle set.

Todd Central took the opening set 25-14. The Lady Wildcats tried to fight back in the second set, but ultimately it was the Lady Rebels taking the set 25-18 to go up two sets to none in the match.

The Lady Rebels then wasted no time in closing out the match, rolling through the third set 25-13 to complete the sweep. It was the second time that Todd Central has swept Franklin-Simpson this season.

Lynnlee Jones and Lucy Chester led the attack at the net for the Lady Rebels with 11 kills each. Chester also had three service aces. Lanie Bivins added seven.

Another big night setting the table for Addileigh Wofford, who would end the match with 27 assists.

Todd Central improves to 11-2 on the season. They now head to Richmond for the All A Classic. They will play Raceland and Whitesville Trinity on Friday night and then Eminence Saturday morning in pool play.
