Caldwell Volleyball Tops Trigg on New Court

The Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team played its first match on the new floor at the CAB gym and swept three sets from Trigg County on Tuesday.

Caldwell’s girls won by scores of 25-5, 25-15, 25-18 to beat the Lady Wildcats for the 22nd straight time. The Lady Tigers lead the all-time series 33-6.

The Lady Tigers played their first three home matches this season in the Caldwell County Middle School gym while work was being done on the floor at the CAB.

Caldwell’s girls are 6-4 this season.

Lily Hoard had seven kills, four digs and two aces while Ellie Ramey recorded six kills, a block and eight digs.

Katie Menser added four kills and two blocks. Benashka Thomas had three kills and a block and Brylee Butts added three kills.

Kyndra Winters had 26 assists and nine aces. Claire Knoth had team-high 18 digs.

For Trigg, Lillian McKelvey had three kills while Jhade Vaughn, Ava Scheer and J’Cieona Cavanaugh each had one kill.

Scheer and Carmen Boyd each recorded a block.

Ashlynn Koch had eight digs two aces.

Boyd had six digs while Riley Brame added four digs and Abigail Johnson had three.

The Lady Tigers will play at the CAB again on Thursday, hosting Paducah Tilghman.

The Lady Wildcats (0-17) will next host Fort Campbell on Thursday.
