Caldwell’s Girls Bounce Back With 10-0 Win Over Union

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers bounced back from a 2-1 loss to 7th District foe Hopkins County Central on Monday by routing Union County 10-0 Tuesday in soccer action at Butler Stadium in Princeton.

Keegan Miller and Tallie Branch each had hat tricks in the victory with Miller also adding three assists.

Aliya Towns had two goals while Harper Ritchey and Cali Traylor also found the net in the contest.

Traylor added two assists while Mariah Merritt, Michaelyn Sample and Marissa Smith each had one assist.

Caldwell led 5-0 at halftime, then added five more goals in the second half, ending on the game on the 10-goal mercy rule when Branch scored her third goal in the 59th minute.

The Lady Tigers held a commanding 39-1 advantage in shots in the contest.

Caldwell’s girls are now 8-3-2 this season and are 12-0 all-time against Union.

The Lady Tigers are off until Saturday when they go to Murray for an All A Classic sectional matchup. Caldwell is the 2nd Region All A champion while Murray won the 1st Region.
