The Caldwell County Lady Tigers picked up their ninth win of the season — and edged ahead in the all-time series — by claiming a 4-0 decision at Paducah Tilghman on Tuesday.
Caldwell’s girls got four goals from four different players.
Keegan Miller gave the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.
Marissa Smith gave Caldwell some breathing room in the second half with a goal in the 55th minute.
Mariah Merritt then helped put the game away when she found the net in the in the 71st minute to make it a 3-0 contest.
Harper Ritchey scored in the 79th minute to put the icing on the cake for Caldwell in the 4-0 triumph.
The Lady Tigers held a dominating 40-7 advantage in shots in the contest.
Rachel McClung had four saves in the Caldwell net while picking up the shutout.
The Lady Tigers are now 9-4-2 this season while Tilghman slips to 3-11.
Caldwell has taken seven of the last eight matchups with the Lady Tornado and has slipped ahead in the all-time series 10-9-3.
Caldwell’s soccer squads will play at home on Thursday when they host Paducah St. Mary for a girls and boys varsity doubleheader at Butler Stadium.
