The Christian County Colonels were looking for their second win in their last three matches as they hosted Muhlenberg County Thursday night at the Stadium of Champions. The Mustangs, on the other hand, were looking to win for the fourth time in their last five matches.

Turns out neither team got their wish.

The Colonels and the Mustangs battled through 80 minutes, only to end up in a 2-2 draw.

Bryan Linares scored both goals for Christian County on penalty kicks as a result of hand balls, as the Colonels rallied from two goals down to get the tie. The second penalty kick came inside the final 30 seconds of the match.

Josh Settle had 4 saves in goal for Christian County.

Muhlenberg County got goals from Nate Harper and Edwar Melendez. Isaac Whitaker assisted on both of the goals.

With the tie, the Colonels now stand at 6-7-1 on the season. Christian County returns to action Saturday as they will take on Caldwell County and Graves County in the Colonel Showcase at the Stadium of Champions.
