On a night when they were honored on the field with their families, Todd County Central’s girls’ soccer seniors did the damage in a 3-2 victory over visiting Warren Central on Thursday.

The Lady Rebels looked to be in control early on against the Lady Dragons, but found themselves trailing 1-0 in the 12th minute after Warren Central’s Ana Deih scored with a shot from outside the box.

Warren Central sat deep in its own end for much of the opening twenty minutes, but the Lady Rebels finally broke through when senior Ciara Collins found the back of the net on a cross from fellow senior Hannah Oliver.

Todd Central doubled the advantage with just over three minutes to play in the half.  Senior Jeidy Saguilan scored her second goal of the season when she punched in a loose ball after a Lady Rebel corner kick.

After the break, the Lady Rebels were pinned in for the opening ten minutes, but they stretched the advantage to two goals after a Warren Central handball in the box.  Senior Madison Henderson buried her shot from the spot for her 23rd goal of the campaign.

The Lady Dragons pulled a goal back with nine minutes left when Deih scored her second of the night on a penalty kick after a foul in the box.  However, the Lady Rebels held on from there to send their seniors out with a win.

Delph made four saves before she had to leave the game due to injury.  Freshman Iris Wood put on the gloves to close out the final minutes.

The Lady Rebels win their second in a row to improve to 8-6-2 and will head to Glasgow on Tuesday for the first of two road matches to close the regular season.
