Three top-ten finishes helped Madisonville-North Hopkins claim first place Saturday at the Marshall County Cross Country Invitational.
Joy Alexander finished in third place, covering the 3.1-mile course in 20:21. Madisyn Johnson joined her in the top 10 with a sixth place finish in 21:13.
Freshman Katie Gillette also had a top 10 finish, covering the course in 21:38. Laci Ray finished in 31st place and Coley Mitchell was 35th to round out the Lady Maroons’ scoring.
Madisonville finished in first place with 73 points, 17 better than Cape Girardeau (Mo.) Notre Dame and well ahead of third place Graves County who had 116 points.
