Lady Falcons Drop Five-Set Battle at Kenwood

Despite battling back to even the match at 2-2 on Tuesday at Kenwood, the Fort Campbell volleyball team dropped the final set to fall to the Lady Knights.

The Lady Falcons opened the match with a narrow 26-24 win in the first set before Kenwood bounced back to take the lead with a pair of 25-16 victories in the second and third.

Fort Campbell forced a fifth set with a 25-16 win, but the Lady Knights prevailed 15-11 to take the match.

Anika Weisbrich and Marlie Fanning each had eight kills for the Lady Falcons, and Fanning added 18 digs.  Abigail Roby finished with five kills and 14 digs, Siena Rodriguez had 11 digs, and Emma Haynes finished with ten.  Elinor Arnold led the way at the net with five blocks.

Fort Campbell slipped to 6-10 and will head south of the border again on Thursday when they face Northwest.
