Showing no signs of slowing down as the regular season comes to a close, the Trigg County girls’ soccer team extended its unbeaten run and improved to 12-2-1 with an 8-0 victory at Union County on Tuesday.

The Lady Wildcats got a big night from a familiar source.  Lania Hite bagged four goals to take her season total to 37, good enough for top-15 in the state.

Olivia Noffsinger added a pair of goals, and freshmen Leiah Hite and Maggie Wolfe each scored once.

Goalkeeper Sarah Sink earned her third shutout of the season, and the Lady Wildcats’ 26 goals allowed is the third-fewest in the region.

Trigg County wraps up the regular season with a visit from Muhlenberg County on Thursday.
