ESPN analyst Todd McShay will be working the Kentucky-Mississippi game Saturday and he’s definitely going to be watching UK quarterback Will Levis.

McShay recently posted on Twitter that the “clear-cut” top three quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class are CJ Stroud of Ohio State, Bryce Young of Alabama and Will Levis of Kentucky.

He says that Tyler Van Dyke of Miami and Anthony Richardson of Florida are “loaded with traits but have disappointed” while Jaren Hall of BYU, Hendon Hooker of Tennessee and Jake Haener of Fresno State are “rising fast” according to what NFL scouts have told him.

National analysts have continued to like Levis more and more. He is 79 of 117 passing (67.5 percent) for 1,185 yards and 10 touchdowns with four interceptions. Kentucky is 4-0 and he threw four touchdown passes — three of 40 yards or more — in last week’s win.

Young, last year’s Heisman winner, is 83 of 121 for 1,029 yards and 13 scores with just two interceptions in four wins. Stroud has completed 79 of 112 passes for 1,222 yards and 16 scores with one interception for the 4-0 Buckeyes.

Hooker padded his resume last week with in a 38-33 win over Florida when he completed 22 of 28 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns and running 13 times for 112 yards and one score.

Tennessee is now No. 8 in the national polls, one spot behind Kentucky. The two teams play Oct. 29 in Knoxville.

This week Levis will match skills with Southern Cal transfer Jaxson Dart in Oxford, Miss. The sophomore has started three of four games for the unbeaten Rebels and completed 51 of 82 passes for 697 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions. He also ran the ball for 116 yards in a 35-27 win over Tulsa last Saturday. He’s averaging 6.1 yards per run this season.
