The Trigg County volleyball team put up a fight in Thursday’s regular-season finale at Fulton City, with two sets decided by only two points, but ultimately fell 3-0 to the host Lady Bulldogs.
Fulton City took the opener 25-23 before cruising in the second 25-16. However, the Lady Wildcats weren’t going quietly, but Fulton prevailed 26-24 in the third to close out the match.
The Lady Wildcats end the regular season at 1-31 and will open postseason play with a matchup against Livingston Central on Tuesday at Crittenden County. The winner will play the top-seeded Lady Rockets in the 5th District championship.
Fulton City completed the season sweep of Trigg to improve to 5-16.
