It was a first-place finish Saturday for the Christian County Colonels. The Colonels claimed the top prize at the King & Queen of the West Cross Country meet at Christian County High School.
The Colonels totaled 59 points on the day to take first in the event. Stewart County and Warren East had 66 points, with Stewart County taking second place on the tiebreaker.
Individually for the Colonels, Michael Webb was the best finisher, taking second place with a time of 17:39.23. Sam Larson, of Logan County, was the overall winner in the boys race with a time of 17:24.12. Trevor Hudnall, of Warren East, took third place.
