Lady Rebels Finish Regular Season With 2 More Wins

Todd County Central picked up two more wins on Saturday and will carry a 23-10 record into the 13th District volleyball tournament on Monday.

The Lady Rebels needed four sets to turn back Graves County before sweeping three sets from Caldwell County in action in Princeton.

Against the 1st Region school, Todd won 25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-21.

Lucy Chester had 24 kills, a block and three service aces in the win over Graves while Lanie Bivins added 14 kills, a block, four assists and three aces.

Addileigh Wofford tallied 30 assists, three kills and two aces.

Lynnlee Jones had two kills and two blocks. Emilee Oden had a kill and two blocks.

The Lady Eagles are now 14-16.

The Lady Rebels then beat their 2nd Region hosts 25-17, 25-8, 25-21.

Chester had 16 kills, a block, five assists and two aces in the win over Caldwell.

Bivins had 12 kills, two blocks and two aces.

Wofford added 22 assists, four kills, a block and five aces.

Oden had one kill and two blocks. Jones recorded two kills.

Caldwell is 12-17.

Todd County Central next faces Franklin-Simpson (12-18) in the semifinals of the 13th District tournament Monday night at Russellville.

The district championship match is set for Tuesday.
