Two Christian County High School cross country runners will compete at next weekend’s KHSAA State Cross Country Meet in Paris following their performance Saturday at the Class 3A Region 1 Meet at Marshall County High School.
Sophomore Wyatt Fleming finished in 24th place with a time of 18:17 over the 3.1-mile course. He and teammate Michael Webb were among the five individual qualifiers for the state meet.
Webb finished in 28th place with a time of 18:33. J.T. Miles finished in 48th place with a time of 19:43, while Joseph Parker was 52nd in 20:12.
Cayden Cline finished in 60th place, followed by Hector Munoz in 62nd place.
As a team, the Colonels finished in eighth place with 212 points. Fleming and Webb will run at the Class 3A state meet Saturday in a field in the middle of Bourbon County Saturday afternoon.
