The bowling program at Hopkinsville High School is now up and ‘rolling.’ While it was not an official match between the two programs, bowlers from Christian County and Hopkinsville High School were a part of history Saturday as the bowling programs at both schools kicked off their first seasons with a get-together at Southern Lanes in Hopkinsville.

The coaching staff that heads up both programs divided up bowlers from the two schools into four-person teams for a two-game series to set up seeding for a quick tournament between the teams.

For Hopkinsville High School, the top performance of the day came from Ruby Duskey. Duskey finished her two-game series with a score of 321, including a 173 in her first game of the day.

Richard Sharpe also had a solid opening for the Tigers. Sharpe rolled a two-game series of 261, 129 in his first game and 132 in his second.

Hopkinsville bowlers are set to travel to Mayfield Saturday for the Early Season Region 1 Bowling Tournament.
