Junior Jackson Crawford is a man for all seasons for Lyon County.
Crawford is on the soccer field in the fall, on the basketball floor in the winter and on the tennis court in the spring.
Off the field, Crawford is an All A honor roll student at Lyon County High School.
On the field, Crawford has been an Athlete of the Month and received the Heart of a Lyon (MVP) soccer award and Most Versatile Player soccer award.
In addition, he was listed among the top 10 goalkeeper saves in the state.
Crawford also received the all-district academic award.
Crawford has a lengthy list of public service that includes:
• Can food drive
• Easter events at church
• Basketball kids camp
• Operation Christmas Child
• Donation center for tornado victims
• Mowing lawns
• VBS
• Water distribution (Marion)
• Concession stands
• Soccer referee
• Donating blood
• Snow removal
• The Den
Crawford is currently getting ready for the 2022-23 basketball season with the defending 2nd Region champion Lyons. Lyon begins the new season Nov. 29 with a home date against Ohio County.
