Pam Edmonds Baker and her friend, Linda Leanhart, like to go everywhere they can to watch Kentucky play basketball.

They were in the Bahamas this summer — where Baker was thrilled to get an Oscar Tshiebwe autograph — and normally go to NCAA Tournament and SEC Tournament games.

“We’ve been to Maui, Cancun, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Alaska. Every time they’ve gone, Final Fours when we’re in them, we go,” Baker said.

So it is no surprise they are in London for today’s game against Michigan along with another friend, Becky Cobb.

“This is a girls trip for the three of us,” Baker said. “Honestly I don’t really know what to expect in the game. Of course I hope we win, but I’ve been pretty frustrated in the past few games. Hopefully they can turn it around in O2 Arena.”

All three UK fans had been to London before, but never at Christmas. They went to Christmas markets and Harrods, one of the world’s leading luxury department stores. They also went to Windsor Castle and just wandered around the city.

“We have special shirts for the game,” she said. “We have made a lot of Big Blue memories and we are going to New York City shortly after we get home from here for that game (against UCLA on Dec. 17).”
