Kentucky was outclassed in nearly every category throughout Saturday’s 78-52 loss to No. 7 Alabama. The outcome was deflating after Kentucky was believed to have found their stride, only to return home with another road loss in ugly fashion.

John Calipari’s team is has started conference play with a 1-2 record and the Wildcats are just 3-3 in their last six games. No one has been consistently good at either end of the floor and that change doesn’t appear to be on the horizon.

Kentucky returns to Lexington looking for answers and will have their chance to bounce back as they host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday night at 7 PM ET.

  1. I have never commented before but it is obvious what’s wrong and has been so the last several years. Coach recruits talent not a basketball team. Then tries to find a away to build a team. All are talented stars, who’ve never played as part of a team and have never learned how to scrap for rebounds, balls and fight to hold position. The coaches who beat us never have the overall talent we do but they recruit less talented players who have traits our guys don’t to build their teams. Nothing against our kids, they are trying their best. It’s just they are in a situation they’ve never been in before, playing with an entire team with equal talent. They don’t know how to do it. It seems to me we need 2 talented starters and one young #6 guy. The rest of the team needs to be players who’ve worked and scraped to get on a college team.
