UHA Routs Rockets to Advance to All A Classic Title Tilt

University Heights Academy took control of things early against Crittenden County Friday night in the 2nd Region All A Classic semifinals.

The Blazers scored the first 10 points of the contest as part of a 26-5 run to open the game. UHA went on to advance with a 68-34 victory in Princeton.

The Blazers (8-6) will meet Heritage Christian Academy Saturday night at 7 p.m. for the regional championship at Caldwell County’s CAB gym. The winner advances to the state All A Classic in Richmond.

University Heights led 39-8 at halftime and reached the 35-point mercy-rule margin for a running clock in the third period against the Rockets.

Lemar Northington had 16 points and Gavin Grubbs had 13 for what was a balanced offensive attack for the Blazers.

Crittenden (7-9), which played without leading scorer Travis Champion who was out with an injury, got 13 points from Seth Guess and 11 from Bryson Walker.

UHA had advanced to the semifinals with a win over Lyon County on Tuesday while Crittenden beat Caldwell in its opener.
