Caldwell Wrestlers 4th at Hendersonville Commando Crush

The Caldwell County wrestling team had four medalists, including two individual champions, in action Saturday at the Commando Crush at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee.

Justin Klidzejs won the 106-pound weight class while Timothy Nichols placed first at 138.

Colin Teutsch was runner-up at 126 while Cofy Walls took third at 132 pounds.

Caldwell County placed fourth out of 22 schools in the team standings with 120 points. Christian County was the team champion with 169.5 points while Hendersonville was runner-up with 145.5 points. West Creek, Tennessee, placed third with 144 points.

At 106, Klidzejs recorded quick pins in his first two matches, then decisioned Larson Pilant of Collierville 10-2 in the final.

Nichols won all three of his matches by pin at 138. That includes a pin at 2:25 against Sean Johnson of Kenwood in the championship match.

Teutsch won his first two matches by decision at 126 before being pinned by Ashton Dy of Hendersonville in the final.

Walls went 4-1 at 132. His only loss came to Xzavier Cox of McGavock in a tiebreaker in the semifinals. Walls came back to win two matches in the consolation bracket to finish third.

Andre Carter went 2-2 at 113 pounds.

Jackson Riley was 2-2 at 152.

Cole Sherill was 2-2 at 220.

Next up for the Tiger wrestlers will be a home match Thursday that will be held at Butler Gym. Caldwell County will host Calloway County and Paducah Tilghman that night for Senior Night.
