Falcon Wrestlers Claim Championship at Laker Invitational

Fort Campbell had two individual champions and six runners-up while capturing top team honors Saturday at the Calloway County Laker Invitational wrestling tournament in Murray.

The Falcons totaled 153 points to top the team standings. Caldwell County was runner-up with 134 points while Owensboro Catholic took third with 96.

Keshawn Dixon at 165 pounds and Juan Solis at 285 went undefeated while winning their weight classes.
Dixon won all four of his matches by pin while Solis pinned all five of his opponents on the day.

Ryker Kramer went 2-1 at 106 pounds to earn his runner-up finish.

Dylan Linnemeier was second at 126, turning in a 2-1 showing.

Maliq Crosby won his first two matches with quick pins at 132 — needing just 10 seconds and 14 seconds — while going 2-1 and placing second.

At 144, Jordan Gallahan went 2-2, earning both of his wins by pin, to finish runner-up at that weight class.

Adam Wroblewski was 3-1 at 150 pounds, winning his first three matches by pin before being pinned for his only loss.

Kurt Corrigan was runner-up at 157, winning three straight matches by pin before being pinned in the championship match.

Jeffery Perry took third at 113, going 3-1 on the day.

Ethan Cassell was third at 120 while John Montalvo finished third at 138. T.J. Dixon was third at 165.

Recording fourth-place finishes were Andy Cintron at 106, Jayden Perry at 126, Robert Warmouth at 132, Scott Bricker at 144 and Sherman Nelson at 150.

Calloway County finished fourth in its tourney with 80.5 points. Kenwood (Tennessee) was next with 76.5 points, followed by Hopkinsville with 74 points and Trigg County with 44 points.
