Christian County sophomore Anaysia Bagwell erupted for 18 first-quarter points and the Lady Colonels never looked back in a 56-10 Homecoming victory over Fort Campbell on Thursday.

The Lady Colonels move to 4-0 in 8th-District play, while the Lady Falcons dropped their third district contest to slip to 2-10 overall.

Jaidah Ezceman had the Lady Falcons’ lone basket of the first quarter, and Christian County led 25-2 behind Bagwell’s early offense.

Evanna McGregor scored five points in the opening frame, and fellow senior Sarah Harris added four in the second.  The pair were honored ahead of the game along with Fort Campbell’s injured seniors, Arianna McDaniel and Yesenia Scott.

Bagwell scored the last of her game-high 22 on a layup to trigger a running clock with 3:31 left in the half, and the Lady Colonels led 39-2 at the break.

Christian County shot 25 of 60 for the game to improve to 9-11, with a trip to Warren Central coming up on Monday.  The Lady Colonels were 61-49 road winners over the Lady Dragons in late December.

Fort Campbell will travel to Murray on Saturday to face a Lady Tigers team suffering through a five-game losing run.
