Trigg County running senior Alliyah Thomas will continue to run in college after verbally committing to attend Spalding University in Louisville.
Thomas was the lone senior on the Lady Wildcat cross country team in 2022. She racked up four top-10 finishes during the season and ran a personal best time of 21:56 at the Daviess County Classic.
Thomas finished in eighth place at the region meet and crossed the finish line in 88th place at the Class 2A State Meet.
She will also be a key member of Trigg’s middle-distance events on the 2023 track and field team.
Spalding is an NCAA Division III school that competes in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
