Emma Talley Holds On to Finish Tied for 4th in Australia

Emma Talley finished in a tie for fourth place in the Vic Open at Barwon Heads in Victoria, Australia.

The Caldwell County High School grad shot rounds of 67, 69, 71 and 74 to finish at 8-under-par 281 overall.

Jiyai Shin of South Korea shot 14-under-par to claim medalist honors by five shots.

Talley was just one shot away from tying for second.

The former University of Alabama star got off to a hot start in Thursday’s first round, birdying five of her first nine holes and twice holding the lead in the tournament.

But conditions got tougher over the weekend, with windy weather resulting in all of the scores going higher.

Talley earned $19,110 for her fourth-place finish in Australia.
