The Fort Campbell boys’ basketball team will be looking to put the brakes on a seven-game losing run when they entertain Fort Knox on the final day of the regular season after an 86-51 loss at St. Mary on Friday.
The Falcons slipped to 4-19 with their fourth defeat in a row at the hands of the Vikings. St. Mary won for the third consecutive outing to close the regular season at 14-16 ahead of a 2nd District tournament matchup with Paducah Tilghman on Tuesday.
4th-seeded Fort Campbell will square off with hosts Christian County in the 8th-District tourney on Monday. It’s been over a quarter century since the Falcons topped the Colonels, and their last postseason victory was a 75-71 win over UHA in the 2008-09 season.
