Trigg County wrestling senior Andrew Hendricks picked up a win Friday at the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament at George Rogers Clark High School but had to face two of the state’s top three wrestlers in his weight class.
Hendricks entered the weekend ranked No. 9 in the 285-pound class by KentuckyWrestling.com. He opened with a loss to No. 3 Willie Rodriguez.
Hendricks defeated No. 13 Frankie Nutt of McCracken County 10-1 in the consolation round but opened his day Saturday with a 5-2 loss to No. 2 Emauryon Arnolds of Holmes. He finished the season with a record of 8-8.
