Bailey Craft averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds a game for Heritage Christian Academy during the 2022-23 basketball season. It should have been good enough to earn her All-State honors from the KCAA coaches. But Craft fell victim to the KCAA politics in which out-of-conference teams don’t travel to Hopkinsville to play HCA and therefore, don’t get to see their players and evaluate them for postseason awards.
It’s a shame because they would have seen a player who does all the little things to get the win in addition to on-court leadership. Craft took the snub in stride and looked back at the Lady Warrior season that saw them ranked No. 2 in the KCAA for most of the season.
