The Caldwell County Lady Tigers claimed six of eight matches on Thursday to notch a season-opening win over Webster County at the CCHS tennis courts.
In singles:
Josie Shaffer (CC) fell to Sara Welshans 8-4;
Rachel McClung (CC) defeated Raylee Whitledge 8-1;
Keegan Miller (CC) blanked Maggie White 8-0;
Avery Ritchey (CC) beat Kimberly Shelton 8-3;
Emma Peake (CC) bowed to Brookelyn Whitledge 8-0;
Meleah Greenfield (CC) topped Kathryn Poston 8-3.
Caldwell won both doubles matches before rain stopped another match early.
McClung and Miller defeated Brylee Whitledge and White 8-1.
Ritchey and Peake downed Welshans and Poston 6-2.
Caldwell is scheduled to go to University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville on Friday.
