Lyon County scored five unanswered runs over the 5th and 6th innings to come from behind and take a 6-3 win over the Union County Braves Monday evening at Lee S. Jones Park. The win was the second in a row for the Lyons after they lost their season opener on a walk-off home run at Calloway County.

The Lyons took the lead in the game, scoring an unearned run off a Union County error in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Two walks, a hit batter, and a Lyon County error opened the door for the Braves to score three runs in the top of the fifth and go in front 3-1. The lead would turn out to be a short-lived one for Union County.

RBI singles from Turner Hurst and Drew Richie evened the score at 3-3 in the bottom of the 5th inning.

Lyon County took the lead back with three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. John Bingham and Aiden Waters had the big hits in the inning with RBI singles.

The Braves threatened in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with one out. But Eli Baker induced Korben Lucas to ground into a double play to secure the win.

John Bingham ended up 2-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Brady Belt was 2-3 with two runs scored. Drew Richie ended up 1-3 with an RBI.

On the mound, Eli Baker picked up the win, going two innings in relief. Baker gave up no runs on three hits, striking out one and walking now.

Lyon County (2-1) is back in action Tuesday, hosting Carlisle County.
