Top Finishes Help Hoptown Take Fourth Place at Henderson County

Paced by five individual finishes in the top three, Hopkinsville High School finished in fourth place in the team standings at the Henderson County Colonel Classic Saturday.

Hoptown edged fifth place Madisonville by one point and trailed third place Henderson County by 12 points.

Davian Simon – 4th in the discus throw (102-06); 6th in the shot put (31-01)

Kristin Johnson – 5th in the 200-meter dash (25.41)

Michael Charles – 5th in the triple jump (28-05); 11th in the long jump (16-01); 12th in the 200-meter dash (27.67)

The 1600-meter relay team of Kanu, Teal, Harton, and Adams finished third in 3:59.25.

The 800-meter relay team of Johnson, Teal, Reid, and Kay finished 4th in 1:46.

The 3200-meter relay team of Harton, Rossario, Ramey, and Jeffers finished 4th in 9:34.89.

The 3200-meter relay team of Hatcher, Ezell, Williams, and Stewart finished 6th in 12:05.

The 1600-meter relay team of Bailey, Fleming, Ennels, and Hatcher finished 6th in 4:52.74.

The 400-meter relay team of Sharber, Williams, Johnson and Kay finished in 7th place in 51.97 seconds.

The 800-meter relay team of Hatcher, Ennels, Stewart, and Williams finished ninth (2:05.93).

The 400-meter relay team of Bailey, Ennels, Fleming, and Jones finished 10th (57.97)
