Brylee LeBron has known for a long time she wanted to be a college cheerleader. On Wednesday, the Hopkinsville High School senior realized that dream as she signed her letter to continue her education and cheer at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro.
LeBron began her cheer career with the Bluegrass CheerCats. She cheered for Hopkinsville Middle School and later for four years for Hopkinsville High School. She was a team captain in 2022-23.
LeBron captained a cheer team that finished in second place in the region game day small division and finished seventh at state.
LeBron said she plans to study psychology in college, and while she admitted she was excited about her new journey, she quickly added she will miss her squad and the teams she cheered for at Hopkinsville High School.
