Caldwell County freshman Cooper Mobley placed fourth in the shot put to lead the Tigers in the Invitational of the South on Saturday at Marshall County High School.
Mobley recorded a toss of 42 feet, 2.5 inches.
Caldwell had three other Top 10 finishes in the meet.
Shane Fairrow finished eighth in the 100-meter dash in 11.75.
Timothy Nichols finished seventh in the triple jump at 36 feet, 10 inches.
The 4×200 relay placed ninth in a time of 1:39.13.
Daniel Laurent just missed placing in the Top 10 in the discus. He distance of 103 feet, 8 inches put him 11th.
Max Heaton took 12th in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.85 seconds.
Nearly 30 schools competed in what is one of the largest track meets in this area.
Caldwell’s guys place 19th in the team standings.
Marshall County won the event, with McCracken County taking runner-up.
Caldwell’s track teams will next compete at Hopkins County Central on Thursday.
