Victoria Harris drove in four runs and the Livingston Central Lady Cardinals overwhelmed the Lyon County Lady Lyons 12-3 in both teams’ 8th-District opener on Monday.
The Lady Lyons slipped to 0-4 ahead of a trip to Webster County on Tuesday. Livingston bounced back from its first loss of the season to improve to 3-1.
The Lady Cardinals scored three runs in their first and last at-bats behind a pair of hits and four RBI for Harris. Hadley Hargrove collected four hits with two RBI and earned the win in the circle, allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits with two walks and nine strikeouts.
Lilly Perry took the loss, giving up 12 runs, eight earned, with five walks and six strikeouts. Courtney Collins finished with two hits, and Jenna Coursey and Olivia Moore each had an RBI for the Lady Lyons.
