The Lyon County tennis teams made the trip north to Henderson County Monday evening for matches against the Colonels and the Lady Colonels, with Henderson coming out on top in both team matches. But Lyon County did come away with a couple of wins in the number-one matches on the day.
The Lady Colonels got past the Lady Lyons by a score of 8-1. Henderson won five of the six singles matches. Lyon County #1, Anna Crawford did pick up a win against Henderson’s #1, Cameron Chandler, 9-7.
The Lady Colonels won all three of the doubles matches.
On the boys’ side, Henderson won all six of the singles matches, with the Colonels also taking two of the three doubles matches. Lyon County’s #1 boys’ pairing of Jackson Crawford and Dalton Phillips picked up a win over the # 1 Henderson pair of Thomas Berger and Braden Dhom.
