HCA Grad Hope Flournoy Selected for Lakota All-Star Games

A former girls’ basketball player at Heritage Christian Academy has been selected to be a part of all-star games involving Native American athletes. Hope Flournoy was among those selected to be part of the College Division of the 2023 Lakota All-Star Games.

The rosters for the games feature players from NCAA Divisions I & III, NAIA, NJCAA, and Tribal College levels.

The Lakota All-Star Games will be played at the Summit Arena at the Monument in Rapid City, South Dakota on April 29th. Ticket prices and a finalized schedule will be released soon.

Flournoy, who was selected to be on Team Keya, will be representing Oglala Lakota College.

She was also named was named the AIHEC Tribal College Scholar Athlete of the Year. That award is presented to an outstanding Tribal College student-athlete who participates in the Annual AIHEC National Basketball Tournament and exhibits academic excellence, a dedication to sportsmanship, and a devotion to their community.

During her senior season at HCA, Flournoy was named as the Kentucky Defensive Player of the Year and as an Honorable Mention Division III All-American by the National Athletic Association of Private Schools.
