Lady Colonels Run to 7th Place at Calloway County

The Christian County Lady Colonels were able to sprinkle in some personal bests with some wins Saturday at the Calloway County Laker Invitational. The Lady Colonels finished in seventh place with 39 points, two points behind sixth-place Fort Campbell.

SPRINTS

Katieann Thompson won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.71, which was a personal best.

Jayda Johnson ran a personal-best time of 13.78 in the 100 meters and finished in ninth place. She placed third in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.85 and was sixth in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 29.14 seconds.

Kaidence Atwell ran a personal-best time of 13.83 and finished in 11th place.

Symeria Brown took 11th place in the 400-meter dash in 1:11.03.

Julia Munoz took eighth place in the 300-meter hurdles in 57.44 seconds.

Destiny Lewis was 16th in the 200 meters in 30.74 seconds.

Genesis McGee was 20th in the 200 meters in 31.86 seconds.

MIDDLE DISTANCE

Debony Anderson ran a personal-best time of 3:05.60 in the 800 meters and finished in 14th place.

Maeby Irving was 16th in the 800 meters in 3:13.99 and Guadalupe Munoz was 17th in the 800 meters in 3:20.80.

RELAYS

The 1600-meter relay team of Symeria Brown, Katieann Thompson, Jayda Johnson, and Julia Munoz won in a season-best time of 4:25.85.

The 800-meter relay team of Kaidence Atwell, Jaseyonia Wilfong, Kanijaia Stewart, and Julia Munoz finished in fourth place in a season-best time of 1:56.78.

The 400-meter relay team of Kaidence Atwell, Destin Lewis, Genesis McGee, and Emma Estes took seventh place in a season-best time of 56.87 seconds.

FIELD EVENTS

Julia Munoz was eighth in the long jump with a season-best distance of 13 feet, 11.75 inches.

Kaliyah Leavell was 27th in the long jump at 10 feet, 9 inches.
