After two seasons, one of them cut short by injury, former UHA Blazer soccer star William Bryan has a new collegiate home. Bryan recently committed to Lipscomb University in Nashville.

After an injury cut short his first season at Maryville College in 2021, Bryan came back in a big way in 2022.

Bryan was among the Collegiate Conference of the South scoring leaders all season in 2022, finishing the regular season with 10 goals in 17 matches. He scored two goals against both Spalding and Piedmont and added single tallies in six other matches.

Bryan also led Maryville College with five assists for 25 points, and 38 of his 63 shot attempts were on target for a 60.3 percent rate for his redshirt-freshman season.

For his efforts, Bryan was named as the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and named to the All-CCS First Team.

Bryan led the 2nd Region in scoring his senior season at University Heights Academy with 40 goals and tied for the region lead with 13 assists. Bryan finished his UHA career as the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Lipscomb is a member of the A-Sun Conference. The Bison finished the 2022 season at 14-3-2, including a tough 3-2 loss to #5 Kentucky. They won the A-Sun championship before falling to Western Michigan in the NCAA tournament.

Bryan told YourSportsEdge.Com that he considered this a “great opportunity.”
