Two University Heights Academy pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter Friday evening as the Blazers rolled their way past Russellville in a 15-0 four-inning home field win. The 15 runs marked the sixth time this season that UHA had reached double figures in runs.

The Blazers pounded out 13 hits as they scored in every inning. UHA plated two runs in the first, eight in the second, three in the bottom of the third, and then ended the game with a run in the bottom of the fourth to reach the 15-run rule.

Six different Blazers had a hit, while seven different UHA batters drove in a run.

Jackson Flynn was 2-2 with 4 RBIs and two runs scored. Ty Hunt finished 3-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Gavin Laronge was 2-3 with a pair of runs scored. Ben Stone ended up 1-3 with two runs driven in.

The Blazers were also the beneficiary of eight Panther walks and two hit batters.

Bryson Turner got the start on the hill for UHA, picking up the win. He went two innings without a walk or strikeout. Jackson Flynn went the final two innings of the game. Flynn struck out two and walked three.

The win was the first game back for the Blazers since being upended by Crittenden County in the All A Classic.

The Blazers head off to Muhlenberg County to take on the Mustangs Saturday.
