Christian Fellowship broke a 6-6 tie with an RBI single in the top of the 5th inning and then held off Heritage Christian for a 7-6 win Monday evening in Hopkinsville. The game was called after six innings due to darkness.

CFS scored runs in five of their six at-bats in the game. Neither team, however, was able to generate much in the way of base hits, as both were limited to four over the six innings of the game.

Heritage pitchers had their issues with control, with three different pitchers combining to give up ten walks in the game.

CFS took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The Warriors then came back with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. An RBI single from Bradley Boyd and an RBI triple from Talan Waddlington were the big hits in the inning for the Warriors.

The Eagles scored a run in the top of the second and the top of the third to even things up at 4-4. A triple and a dropped third strike opened the door to two more runs in the top of the 4th to extend the lead to 6-4.

Tra Fowler drove in a run with a triple in the bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 6-5. Fowler then scored on a passed ball to tie the game at 6-6.

Fowler finished the game 2-3 with two triples, an RBI, and two runs scored. Bradley Boyd and Talan Waddlington had the other two hits for HCA.

Boyd was tagged with the loss in relief for the Warriors. He pitched the final two innings, giving up one unearned run, on two hits, striking out none, and walking two.
