The Livingston Central Cardinals broke open a close game with a seven-run third inning and then rolled to a 13-3 five-inning win over Heritage Christian Academy Saturday afternoon in Hopkinsville. Heritage pitchers gave up eight walks and four hit batters while the HCA defense was charged with seven errors in the contest. Of Livingston’s 13 runs only five were scored as earned runs.

The Cardinals took advantage of two Warrior errors in the first to take an early 4-0 lead.

The Warriors battled back in the bottom half of the inning to chew into the lead. Cadyn Travis drove in a run with a single. Collin Outland then drove in Travis later in the inning with another RBI single. Zachary Oesch forced across the third run of the inning when he drew a bases-loaded walk.

Livingston plated a run in the top of the second to make it 5-3. The Cardinals then blew the game open in the top of the third. Livingston used two HCA errors, four walks, and two hit batters to move the lead out to 12-3. Livingston Central then added another run in the top of the 5th to move the margin out to the ten-run lead.
