With several athletes unavailable due to prom later in the day, the Trigg County track and field team finished in 19th place Saturday at the Area 1 Championships in Paducah.
RELAYS
The 3200-meter relay team of Cole Renfro, Travis Cavanaugh, Austin Cavanaugh, and Levi Watts finished in 8th place with a time of 9:20.67. The Wildcats moved up three spots in the final two laps to score a point.
The Wildcat 400-meter relay team also ran a season-best time to finish in 13th place at 47.91 seconds.
The 800-meter relay team added a season-best time of 1:39.66 seconds to finish in 16th place.
HURDLES
In the 110 meters, Braxton Hargrove finished in 12th place with a time of 21.39 seconds. He finished in 16th place with a time of 50.44 seconds.
SPRINTS
Peyton Williams ran an 11.73 time in the 100-meter dash to finish in 16th place, while Marlee Reeves finished in 26th place with a time of 12.35 seconds.
Williams also finished 11th in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 23.29 seconds.
Brody Renfroe finished in 19th place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.41 seconds.
Connor Belews finished in 27th place with a time of 1:00.8 seconds which was good for a 27th place finish.
MIDDLE DISTANCE
Levi Watts finished in 22nd place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:46.61. He took 29th place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:41.29 seconds, while Xander Lilly finished in 30th place with a time of 2:53.78.
Peyton Williams finished in 11th place in the 200 meters dash with a personal best time of 23.29 seconds.
Carter Shepard finished in 27th place in the 200 meters in 25.2 seconds.
FIELD EVENTS
Marlee Reeves finished in 17th place in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 2 inches.
