It was a perfect way to celebrate Senior Day for the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors. HCA scored ten runs in the bottom of the first inning and rolled on to a 15-5 home win over Micah Christian Saturday afternoon.

Micah took a brief lead in the top of the first with a one-out RBI single to go up 1-0. But that would be the end of that.

The Lady Warriors had ten straight batters reach base with one out in the bottom of the first inning as they responded by hanging a ten-spot on the scoreboard. A total of 14 Lady Warriors came to the plate in the inning. Kailyn Stanley had two hits and an RBI in the inning for HCA.

Micah cut the lead to 10-3 in the top of the second with a two-run triple to left.

Heritage pushed the lead out to 14-3 in the bottom of the third using four walks and RBI singles from Kailyn Stanley and Kennedy Hughes.

Micah rallied to plate two runs in the top of the fourth to trim the lead to 14-5 , but there would be no miracle rally on this Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Warriors ended the game in the bottom of the fifth when Madison Warren led off the inning with an inside-the-park home run to center.

Kailyn Stanley had a big Senior Day, going 4-4 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Madison Warren was 2-3 with a home run, a double, four RBIs, and two runs scored. Kennedy Hughes finished the game 2-3 with 3 RBIs and one run scored.

HCA outhit Micah 14 to 9 for the afternoon. The Lady Warriors were charged with three errors in the field compared to one for Micah.

Kennedy Hughes went all five innings in the circle for HCA, giving up five runs, three of them earned, on nine hits, striking out four while walking two.
