Hopkinsville golf coach Austin Knight will add the Christian County head coach title to his duties this fall. Knight will serve as head coach for both the boys’ teams at Hoptown and Christian County.

“We feel his knowledge and expertise in coaching golf will serve as a great experience for our athletes, and we are looking forward to him developing and growing our boys’ golf program,” Christian County Athletic Director Trey Wheeler said.

Knight graduated from Hopkinsville High where he played golf and was named to the All-State golf team.  He went on to play golf in college at Murray State University and was a four-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week.  Knight was named Hoptown’s head coach prior to the 2021 season.

Knight will be the third coach to take on dual roles with Hopkinsville and Christian County, joining Keith Marquess (swimming) and Parrish Howell (bowling).
