University Heights Academy may not have taken a large contingent to the Class A Region 1 track and field meet Thursday, but the Blazers medaled enough people to finish in second place.

UHA will have at least six entries at the state meet in two weeks in Lexington with several more expected to receive an at-large bid.

The top two finishers at the region automatically advance to the state meet, while the next ten best times/distances statewide also advance.

As a team, the Blazers scored 104 points to finish second behind region champion Fort Campbell (134) and ahead of third place Murray (96).
