Lyon County kept the game close for three innings, but Madisonville-North Hopkins exploded in the fourth.
The Lady Maroons scored 10 times in the bottom in the fourth on the way to a 13-0 win in the 2nd Region quarterfinals Saturday night at Christian County.
Madisonville (27-6) will next face Henderson County (29-5) in the semifinals on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
That game will take place at Hopkins County Central, which was scheduled to host the first round before wet field conditions forced a move to Christian County.
The Lady Maroons scored one run in each of the first three innings before erupting in the fourth.
Zoe Davis was 4-for-4 for Madisonville and scored three times. Mackenzie Stoltz went 3-for-4 with a home run and five runs batted in. Brenna Sherman finished 3-for-4 with a homer while driving in three.
Meanwhile, Stoltz (19-3) gave up just one hit in the circle while striking out 13 and walking two.
Lauren Davis singled leading off the top of the third inning for Lyon’s only base hit.
The Lady Lyons end the season at 9-19-1.
