Competing in its first-ever Kentucky Christian Athletic Association state golf tournament, Heritage Christian Academy claimed a second-place team finish and had the individual medalist.

HCA sophomore Carson Powell shot an 89 at Western Hills Golf Course to claim first place by five shots over Lakeside’s Parker DeAtley.

Junior Jerrett Delestowicz had the second-lowest score for HCA with 116. Hunter Strader followed with a 120. Cayden Nowak (121),  and Preston Haddock (126) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.

As a team, HCA finished four shots out of first place to Lakeside Christian.

For HCA, it was its first season fielding a golf team, and sets the foundation as they move to the KHSAA and will compete in both the All A Region Tournament and 2nd Region Tournament next year.
